Directions to Schools

This set of directions was provided by coach Linda Seibold.  You may want to check out High School Maps Online for additional, more detailed, directions. There are maps to almost every high school in the nation on this website. The maps and directions are usually very detailed and accurate.

Eastern Michigan University Pool

EMU MAPS

Take 96 east to 23South to Ann Arbor. You’ll go south for several miles (5-10?) until you come to The M14/23S split going towards Plymouth, you’ll need to get in the left hand lane to follow this.  Then you will need to get into the right hand lane because in about 1 or 2 miles 23 south will continue to Toledo.  Follow that to exit 37A. (Exit 37B will come first) 37A goes east toward Ypsilanti.  You will be on Washtenaw Ave, which is very busy it will take you (about 4 miles) to get to the very beginning of EMU campus and turn left onto Oakwood Ave. Take this a block it will be very busy so just follow the cars to the parking ramp.  I repeat it will be very busy. Once you park you will walk east toward the pool, follow the people.

Dewitt High School

Take I96 to the Flint exit at the I69/96 exchange Continue East on I69 to the first exit (Airport Rd.)  Turn left on Airport Rd. go to the first Cross St. (Clark Rd)  And turn Right on Clark Rd.  Be looking for the entrance to the High School.   It is a double drive with a Boulevard in the middle.  (There is no Sign however.) This entrance is just past Schavey Rd and if you get to the bridge over the expressway you went to far. (This is not far from the entrance) To get to the pool go to the North end of the building and enter through those north doors.

East Lansing High School (New Pool)

EL has a new pool on the west end of their newly redone High School.  To get to the High School take Saginaw all the way through DT (or take 696 through DT and get off at the Kalamazoo exit stay right and get off on Saginaw.  Then 3 lights past the Frandor shopping center is Abbott Rd. Turn right onto Abbot Road and go to the 2nd light and turn left. (Hannah community center will be on your right).  The High School will be up on your left about one block.  The entrance to the school is past the football field. The pool is on the North-west side of the building.

Eaton Rapids High School

Take 100 through Potterville to 69 south take 69 S- past Charlotte all the way to M50 Eaton Rapids exit. Go left (east) go through the city on Main Street to the 3rd light (STATE St.) go about 1 mile to blinking light(Greyhound Drive) turn right go past the HS to the 2nd building on the left; the pool is in the Jr. High.  The meet will end around 8:00 boys will return to the GL parking lot around 9:00 PM, please do not be late to pick them up, they will be cold and tired. Thank you.

Haslett High School

Directions to Haslett-I-69 East to exit #94 get off and go to the 2nd light turn left onto Marsh Rd. Follow Marsh rd. south Past Haslett rd go two blocks and the school will be on the left. Park in the 1st lot, North West end entrance.

Hill Vocational Center (Eastern and Everett’s Home pool)

Take I96 toward Detroit; get off at the Eaton Rapids exit (MLK-S)  Turn left go under the expressway to the 2nd light and turn left onto Pleasant Grove.  This will take you a short way to a stop sign then turn left again on to Miller Rd. take the first rd. on the right, Wise Rd. and Hill Vocational Center will be up on your right, just past an elementary school.  Turn in the first driveway to Hill’s parking lot and go in the South-West Doors. Spectators will then go up the stairs on your left to the pool balcony.

Holt High School

Take East 96 to exit 101(MLK- Eaton Rapids exit) turn right but get in the left hand lane because you have to turn left at the light onto Bishop Road.  Take Bishop Road straight until it dead ends into Grovenberg Rd. and turn Right. Go south on Grovenberg until you get to the light at Holt Road and turn left onto Holt Rd.  The school will be just past the trees on your right.  Go to the light and turn right and then turn right into the parking lot, The Pool entrance will be facing you (Facing east with a small circular drive)  The pool door is just inside to your left

Howell High School

Take I-96 to M59 Howell Exit stay on M-59 coming off exit there is a stoplight. Go through stop light Howell HS is on the right about ½ mile past the light.

Ionia High School

Take I96 West to exit 67 (Ionia/Battle Creek) get off go right (North) for about 5 miles. To Tuttle Rd (just past Meijer, K-mart) Turn Right on Tuttle and go about 1/8th mile to the community school complex.  Take the 3rd driveway on left. The pool is on the East end of the building.

Jackson High School

Directions to Jk. Take 27 south all the way into Jackson, (it turns into 127 business) It is 8 lights from entering Jackson to Wildwood. Turn left on Wildwood and the school will be on your left about 1 block.  Take the first entrance. Pool entrance is the West end of building.

Kellog Community College

FROM LANSING - Take I-69 to M-78 exit (Bellevue) and proceed through and beyond (about six miles) to M-66. Turn left on M-66 and proceed south to Roosevelt Road. Turn right and continue to North Avenue. Turn left and proceed to college. The KCC circle drive entrance is beyond Spring Lake pond.

Kentwood High School

Take I-96 west toward Grand Rapids.  Take exit 43A onto 28th street going west.  Follow  28th St. to Patterson Ave (1/2 mile) and turn left onto Patterson.  Take Patterson to 44^th St.  Turn Right onto 44th street and go about 7 miles to Kalamazoo St.  Turn left onto  Kalamazoo St and go past 60th street and turn left into the entrance to the Kentwood H.S.

Ovid Elsie High School

Take old 27N to St Johns and go to Colony Rd. and turn Rt. Go about 5 miles School will  be on the left on the corner of Colony Rd and Hollister Rd. 

St Johns High School

Take Old 27 north all the way to St. Johns.  Just coming into town you come to South Townsend Rd. There is a stop light there (near car dealer, Walmart on rt.) Turn left onto S. Townsend and go to the stop sign (Lansing St.) and turn right then go to Cickles St. (the first left) and turn left and then go about 1½ blocks to the school.  The pool is about ½ way down on the west side of the building. Go till you see the cafeteria’s loading docks and go in the doors next to them.  The pool will be in on your left.

Waverly High School

Take Saginaw East to Creyts turn right.  Turn right at the first light (Michigan Ave).  Waverly will be on you right about ½ mile.  Parking and entrance on the east side of the building.
